We built the technology to measure what was previously invisible

AI Business Score is the world's first platform for analyzing how closely a business's web presence aligns with what AI systems need in order to recommend it. We didn't just identify the problem — we engineered the solution.

Six months, a million lines of code, and one question

AI Business Score was funded and founded to answer the question every local business should be asking: "How do I get recommended by AI?"

To answer it, our team spent over six months reverse engineering and interrogating the AI systems that make business recommendations. We analyzed the sites that were being recommended, studied what set them apart, and methodically identified the criteria these systems use to decide who gets recommended and who gets ignored.

The result was over a million lines of code — a proprietary scoring engine that reverse-engineered recommended sites as a baseline, then developed methods to test any other site to see exactly where it falls short on the spectrum of maximum trust and alignment with AI systems.

Five pillars of analysis — not a simple checklist

When you run an AI Business Score, it may look like a simple process on the surface. Behind it, our engine is running over 100 distinct analyses across five critical areas that determine whether AI systems will trust and recommend your business.

Pillar 1

On-Site Congruency

Structural analysis of your site's content, schema markup, navigation consistency, and trust signals that AI crawlers evaluate.

Pillar 2

External Data Collaboration

How your business is referenced across directories, citations, review platforms, and third-party data sources that AI cross-references.

Pillar 3

Contextual API Analysis

Direct interrogation of how AI systems perceive and classify your business when processing recommendation queries.

Pillar 4

Recency Signals

Freshness of content, reviews, updates, and engagement — AI systems favor businesses that show active, current operations.

Pillar 5

Recommended Site Comparison

Benchmarking your domain against sites that AI already recommends in your category and geography to identify specific gaps.

Built by people who have spent careers making businesses visible

Our founding team brings diverse backgrounds in finance, banking, technology, and marketing. We've spent years helping companies increase visibility and conversions through traditional search — and we recognized early that the rules were changing.

When AI-driven discovery began replacing the search patterns businesses had relied on for two decades, we didn't wait. We assembled the technical and analytical expertise needed to reverse engineer how these new systems work, and we built the tools to help businesses measure and respond to the shift.

Today, AI Business Score is used by local search marketing companies to align their clients' websites to AI, and by businesses directly to track the progress of their agencies and marketing partners in the push to get into the recommendation results.

AI evolves — and so do we

Your AI Business Score is not a static number. It's a fluid, directional measure that reflects how AI systems evaluate your business right now. As those systems evolve — and they evolve rapidly — the criteria they use to score and recommend businesses evolve with them.

We are committed to continuous research, ongoing updates to our scoring criteria, and honest communication about what the score is and what it isn't. It is not a guarantee or a ranking — it is the most comprehensive measure available of your business's alignment with the factors AI systems use when deciding who to recommend.

AI Business Score is not like a credit report where all inputs are static or historical data — it is fluid.

The criteria used in scoring a business's recommendation potential are evolving as rapidly as AI itself. Our investment in continuous research ensures our scoring engine stays current — but the nature of AI means scores will change over time as the systems they measure change.
